Bio --Kay Divant (neé Sturdivant)
I’m a writer with a background in classical
piano and in British and Irish Modernism. I
worked as an economics journalist for fifteen years in New York and LA. On graduating UCLA with English honors, I went to work as an
editor for the Rand Corporation and for a US Naval Weapons research firm
involved in enhancing the first NASA moon photographs. As a pianist I trained
under pupils of Artur Schnabel and Alexander Siloti and took piano master
classes at UCLA. For two years I read and taught English
at University of New Hampshire and published two books of poetry, then set up art studios in Boston and New York to make text based art and
installation works.
